You’ll be amazed by the havoc that can be caused, not to mention the danger, of using the wrong cleaning products in the workplace.

The H&S recently published a case showing how a wrong floor cleaning product caused a huge increase in slips and trips in a precision equipment manufacturer.

Only one floor was affected in this company and when the firm’s Health & Safety officer took a closer look it transpired the cleaner responsible for that floor has been using ordinary cleaner for the linoleum floor rather than the approved product for that surface. As soon as the right product was used, the trips stopped.
